Even as a kid, I was teased for being chubby. To help control my weight, I got involved in high-endurance sports with the hope of being in shape to pursue my passion – surfing. But once I started working, I had less time for exercise, so I started dieting: juice fasts, vegetarianism, food-combining, eating for my body type, high-protein, low-fat, you name it.
